Crest 3D Professional Effects Whitestrips - Day 1 - Multi-Part Review

I was so excited when I found out I was going to receive a "premium oral aesthetics product" to test out and review from Influenster. However, it wasn't until the box arrived yesterday that I found out I would be testing out Crest's 3D Professional Effects Whitestrips.

This review will be done in three parts:
  • Day 1: Info about the product, initial thoughts, a "before" picture of my teeth
  • Day 10: A picture of my teeth half way, thoughts on the product so far
  • Day 20: An "after" picture of my teeth, thoughts on product overall
Those of you who are already familiar with the 3D White line know that there are many, many options when it comes to whitening your teeth. The Whitestrips alone come in the following varieties:
  • Intensive Professional Effects
  • 2-Hour Express
  • Professional Effects
  • Advanced Vivid
  • Vivid
  • Gentle Routine
  • Stain Shield
There's literally something for everyone who's looking to whiten their teeth.

According to the packaging and the info card that was included with my sample, the 3D Professional Effects Whitestrips promise a whiter smile in just three days with full results in 20 days and you only need to keep them on for 30 minutes a day. Other product benefits include:
  • Removal of 10+ years of set-in stains
  • Whitens 25 times better than leaning whitening toothpaste
  • Advanced Seal no-slip technology that helps them conform to your teeth for noticeable whitening results without the mess
  • Same enamel-safe ingredient dentists use
The package I received contains 20 treatments containing 1 upper and 1 lower strip each. It retails for about $40 at Walmart or for around $35 on Amazon.

So now let's get down to the nitty gritty.

My teeth are by no means bright and sparkling. While I do use a whitening toothpaste on a daily basis, there is still so much room for improvement on the whiteness of my teeth. I don't drink coffee or tea all that much nor am I an avid drinker of dark pops, red wines or any other beverage that tends to discolor teeth. I do drink some of the before mentioned beverages once in a while, but by no means regularly. It's also worth noting that I am also a non-smoker.

As I said above, I am very excited to try these Whitestrips. They seem very simple to use and you can wear them while you do other things - like I'm wearing them as I type up this blog post - and it only takes 30 minutes. I haven't really used any whitening products outside of toothpaste and I did try the Listerine whitening mouthwash for a bit, but it was too strong so I quit using it. I'm hoping that the ease of use of this product will help me stick with it and see results.

So that's about it. I'll check back in on Day 10 to see the progress half way!

Disclaimer: I received this product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
