Life Update - March 2013

A couple weeks ago I had a mini life update about my testing, but otherwise it's been a fairly quite March. For that I'm sorry, sort of.

In the last couple of weeks I've been picking up extra hours at work. There are a few things I'd like to save for: a car and a tattoo being near the front of the list right now. In order to help pay for those things faster, I've been trying to make some extra money. Because most of my work hours are all over the place, that's left me mostly tired and unmotivated during the day, when I used to work on blog stuff and the like. This week alone I picked up enough to have 4ish hours of overtime (I'm scheduled for 35.5 hours this week).

Aside from that, there's isn't that much new. It's mostly the same old stuff. Easter is this weekend though and I'm happy to have a long weekend off (my regularly scheduled weekend off). Unfortunately it also means that all the Easter candy is out. Are there any holidays that don't heavily involve food and/or candy???

I suppose in other news, I've been testing/using a few new products (most are just new to me) and I'll be sharing my opinions on them soon. If there's anything out there you'd like me to try before you buy, let me know!

HSG is done!

I've decided to label these posts ttc for trying to conceive...mostly because that's what they're about. I'm still not sure how much I'll be documenting here but wanted to update you all on the HSG. I had it on the 15th. It took 3 tries but we were finally able to see that my tube is indeed clear.

That's amazing news and honestly not what I was expecting. The doctor has cleared us to start trying when we're ready and said that when I get pregnant again I'll be very closely monitored, especially in the beginning, given my history of ectopics.

March 2013 Ispy/Glam Bag

This month's theme, as you may be able to tell by peeks of the bag through all that product up there, is The Great Escape. The bag features products that are promised to be good for "getting gorgeous on-the-go."

What's in my March 2013 Birchbox

This month's theme is March Madness. Apparently they're hosting beauty face-offs on their Facebook page, which is how things tie in with the theme. The info card also says, "This box is filled with products that make the cut - from up-and-coming rookies to veteran all-stars."

Schick Hydro Silk Razor Review

This post brought to you by Schick Hydro Silk Razor for BzzAgent. Even though I received a sample for free, all opinions are 100% my own.

I am really by no means loyal to any one razor, so I typically get to try quite a few over the course of time. I buy what's on sale. I buy what I have a coupon for. I buy what looks pretty in the package. I buy what I've heard about recently from friends, reviews, etc. Point is, I buy my razors usually on a whim based on any of the before mentioned criteria.

You may remember that way back in December I reviewed another, in my opinion similar, razor. You may want to read that post if you haven't because I'll probably be comparing the two.

elf Shop & Tell - February 2013

Last week elf was having a sale where if you bought $20 worth of products and entered a code, you would also receive a "mystery bag" full of $20+ worth of products. There were a few things I'd been wanting to get and a few I was curious about so I figured what the heck. The picture above is of what I purchased for $20.

If you would like to see a full review of anything specific, please don't hesitate to ask!

CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner to the Rescue!

This post brought to you by CLR. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s no secret that my house is not always in tip-top shape, especially the kitchen and bathroom. In fact, the bathroom is probably my least favorite room to clean. Not only is there just a general dirtiness from the fact that people use it multiple times a day, but then you’ve got all the gross smells and random stains, rust and mildew.

Disgusting!

That’s where CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner comes in!

A Mini Life Update - aka My Trip to the Doctor

I'll just keep this short and sweet. I went to the ob/gyn this week for my annual checkup and we talked about getting me scheduled for a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). I'm supposed to call them in the next couple of weeks to schedule it. Then we'll know if my left (only remaining) tube is ok or not. After that we can decide which direction to go in. The good news is that my current health insurance covers part of IVF if that is needs to be an option.

Due to having started a new job in December, I'll need to have worked there for at least a year before being eligible for FMLA so that will have to be a consideration regardless of the outcome.

I'm not sure how much of this process - whatever it turns into - I'll be blogging about. I'll figure that out as the journey continues.

Also, I'm not quite sure how to label/tag these posts. I haven't yet been diagnosed with infertility so I don't feel that's appropriate. Thoughts?
