Foodie Friday - Biscuit doughnuts

Growing up my mom used to make "doughnuts" for us every now and then. She said her mom used to make them the same way (more or less) when they were younger. I always kind of liked that part of why we had them just about as much as I liked the taste. Boy were they good!

Now that your mouth is watering I'll show you how to make these awesome puffs of wonderful.

Ingredients:
2 cans refrigerated biscuits (NOT flaky layers, just plain biscuits)
White sugar

Directions:
1) Get deep fryer or pot with oil heating up.

2) Open cans of biscuits and cut in half. Roll each half into a small ball.

3) Put sugar in a bowl big enough to hold several (4 - 6) small doughnuts at a time.

4) When oil is hot enough (similar to frying French Fries), drop doughnuts in a few at a time and fry until golden brown and floating.

5) Strain with slotted metal spoon and put directly into sugar. Toss to coat. Serve warm.
