Masculine Valentine - Tutorial Tuesday

Welcome to Tutorial Tuesday week 2!

For those of you wondering how we got to Tutorial Tuesday without having Foodie Friday, I apologize. I decided in a fantastic rash of insanity to clean the bedroom last week. The amount of dust I found sent my allergies into a tizzy and they have now gone into some sort of cold/sinus thing. I was sick and in bed for most of Thursday, Friday and the weekend.

But anyhow, on to today's tutorial!

Today's tutorial is a little special in that you can find a video of how I made the card as well as a text based tutorial for the same card - sorry I couldn't take pictures AND film at the same time.

So watch the video and then read on for a step by step.

Paper and shapes:

A2 card base - white
Orange square patterned paper - 3.75x5.25 inches
Blue argyle scallop shape - 3x3 inches
Plain blue rectangle - 2x3.75 inches
Plain orange rectangle - 2.5x2 inches
Orange polka dot scalloped circle - 1.75 inches
Plain orange circle - just shy of 1.5 inches

Other supplies:
Black ink
Stamp
White gel pen
Adhesive of your choice - I used an ATG

Directions:
Adhere the large background paper onto the center of the card base.

Cut the 3x3 inch argyle patterned scallop shape in half and adhere the top half to the paper approximately 3/4 of the way to the top. Use the large blue rectangle to see about where you will need to adhere the bottom half so that it won't look like it has been cut and the blue and orange rectangles will cover the cut side.

Adhere the blue and orange rectangles on top of the argyle pieces.

Glue the plain orange circle to the middle of the polka dot scalloped circle and adhere the whole piece to the bottom left corners of the blue and orange rectangles.

Stamp your sentiment in the orange rectangle.

Use your white gel pen to draw a dashed line around the orange rectangle and draw a circle on the edge of the orange circle.

And that's it! You're done! Easy peasy!

This card was an amazing use of scraps and I was able to use up quite a few.

Enjoying Tutorial Tuesday? Let me know below or on YouTube what you think about this series. I'd like to continue, but probably a little less frequently after February. Also let me know if you have any ideas or things you'd like to see!

Thanks for watching and reading!
