I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

I've only ever tried one BB cream before and that one came in a Birchbox over a year ago. The sample was tiny so I was only able to use a little bit and I never did form a solid opinion about it. That's why - at least partially - why I was so excited to see this in the SunKissed VoxBox from Influenster.
Since it's a full sized product I was able to test it out and really form an opinion. Before I even tried it, however, I did a little research about the difference between American versions of BB creams and Asian versions. It seems to me that the American versions are little more than tinted moisturizers, while the Asian versions tend to have better coverage and often offer more benefits than just moisturization.
Armed with that information, I decided to test out Olay's version. I applied it to my face and then added a bit of concealer because at the time I was having some pretty awful breakouts and needed a bit more coverage in some spots. I went about my regular day for the next 6 hours or so.
At the end of 6 hours my face was like an oil slick. My concealer, that usually stays put pretty well, had disappeared and all the blemishes I had attempted to cover earlier were now visible. On top of that, my face just felt gross in general. I wanted nothing more than to wash my face really well.
All of that said, would I buy Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream to use as a BB cream? Nope, at least not in the summer. I'd be interested to see how it worked in the winter when my skin tends to be drier. If I was looking for any sort of coverage though it wouldn't matter. At best it evened my skin tone just a bit.
