You're Out of This World - Love Me Do Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the “Love Me Do” Valentine’s Blog Hop!  This week, January 16^th-20^th, we have a group of 5 talented designers sharing projects with you on their blogs to get you prepared for the upcoming season of love!  Whether you use these designs to create something for your loved ones or spring-board off the inspirations given, we would love to see your work as well, so leave a comment on the blogs as you go through.

On January 24^th, we will be giving away a collection of goodies from the group to one lucky participant.  The giveaway will be hosted through filling out a Google Docs form, on Live.Teach.Create on January 20^th, asking various questions about the posts throughout the week.  All those who enter with the correct answers will have a chance to win!

And now on to my project for today!

Valentine's Day cards don't have to be frilly and pink to be amazing. There are many, many ways to show those you care about just how awesome you think they are. This card was so quick and easy to create as well.

 

Using my paper doll cartridge I cut a few small planet shapes and added a ring of glitter around the middle. I used glue and glitter, but it would be just as easy to use glitter glue or anything else you feel comfortable with.

The space ship was also an easy, simple shape when cut out and again it's accented with glitter on all of the lines that were cut out. If you didn't want to use glitter to accent these lines, you could ink the edges or use a marker to follow all of the lines.

This adorable alien was also cut from the paper doll cartridge. I chose a fun patterned paper for the him to add some interest and outlined his mouth in coordinating glitter.

With the added sentiment "You're out of this world," it's easy to tell the person you care about that you think they're simply amazing.
